Exxon Hires Ocean Installer for Balder Field Subsea Inspection (Norway)

ExxonMobil has awarded Ocean Installer a contract for survey and intervention work at the Balder field, located in Norwegian North Sea.

Under the contract, Ocean Installer will carry out inspection and maintenance of the subsea control system at the field. The work is planned to be performed in early/mid-May, using the chartered vessel “Normand Clipper” which is owned by Solstad Offshore.

We are very pleased with this Contract Awarded by EEPNAS.  This is also an important milestone for Ocean Installer as this will be the first project executed from “Normand Clipper” under this charter, and we are pleased to be able to provide ExxonMobil with such a highly efficient vessel” says Steinar Riise, CEO.

The Balder field consists of a floating production, storage, and offloading vessel (FPSO) and several subsea production systems. It is located in the North Sea approximately 190 km Northwest of Stavanger.
