IOEC becomes the first Iranian company to apply for building the infrastructure necessary to construct jack-up drilling rigs and gains property ownership rights and a certificate from GL, Germany.
Announcing the above, Dr.Ali Taheri stated that with regard to the urgent need of such rigs in the country, the issue of providing them in a swift and timely manner and the creation of the infrastructure required to domesticate the construction of the rigs in a way that their design complies with national demand, has always been a priority among IOEC’s concerns; and despite the difficulties existing in foreign purchases, the company has commenced the creation of infrastructures which are necessary in the construction of jack-up drilling rigs.
As the owner of the P300 Phoenix rig design, IOEC has placed granting construction rights for the rigs to domestic and foreign companies on the agenda.
