Lundin Norway to Conduct Exploration Drilling with Transocean Arctic

Lundin Norway AS has received consent to conduct exploration drilling with the Transocean Arctic mobile drilling facility.

The consent relates to drilling and production testing of appraisal well 7120/6-3 which is part of production licence 490. A possible sidetrack (7120/6-3 A) may also be drilled.

Water depth at the site is 327 metres.

The operation for 7120/6-3 is estimated to last a total of 133 days, including the possible sidetrack.

The plan is to start the drilling operation as soon as Transocean Arctic has completed drilling 16/2-13 Johan Sverdrup.

Transocean Arctic is operated by Transocean Offshore (North Sea) Ltd NUF. The facility received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in July 2004.
