Norway: BP Gets Green Light for Man Underwater Operations at Skarv and Valhall Fields

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has granted BP Norge AS consent to carry out manned underwater operations (MUO).

The consent relates to diving in connection with the projects ”Valhall Re-Development” (VRD) and ”Skarv Diving 2011”. The work has a planned duration of approx. 14 days both on Valhall and Skarv, and will take place from May to September 2011.

The underwater operations will be carried out by the company Subsea7 with the DSV Seven Pelican diving vessel (alternatively with DSV Seven Havila).
