Director General of the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority, Magne Ognedal is awarded the prize for his great contribution to safety on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
”He has assumed the role of both strategist and advocate, and both the regulatory framework and safety audit regime have enjoyed continuous development as a result,” says Chair of the ONS Board, Lars Takla.
“Ognedal has carried out his work in close dialogue with the industry and employee safety representatives.”
The Award The ONS Foundation’s statutes state the following: “This award is presented to a person for distinguished service in working actively to promote the Norwegian petroleum sector, both domestically and internationally, and for pursuing initiatives and activities linked to ONS events.”
