Remontowa Shipbuilding delivers PSV GEMSBOK

Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A., a Polish shipyard, has launched a newly built Platform Supply Vessel.

The shipyard held a christening ceremony for the PSV on Wednesday, the 5th of February 2014. The vessel, sixth in a series of similar ships, was named GEMSBOK.

Remontowa Shipbuilding started the construction of the eighth vessel from the series on the same day. After completing construction and complex sea trials, the vessel will be delivered to its owner in July this year.

These vessels are designed for towing and carriage of dry, liquid and heavy cargoes necessary to serve drilling platforms.

The vessels are being built under supervision of Classification Society – American Bureau of Shipping according to the project elaborated by MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd from Gdynia / Poland.
