Oilfield services company Expro has appointed a new chief operating officer (COO) and executive vice president.

Expro said on Thursday that the company’s current executive vice president Alistair Geddes was promoted to the position of COO with immediate effect.

Geddes has been with Expro for six years, having previously fulfilled leadership roles with Weatherford, BG Group, and ExxonMobil.

Also, Keith Palmer was promoted to executive vice president of product lines and would be responsible for Expro’s product lines, technology, and group engineering.

Palmer has worked at Expro for over 13 years, previously leading the company’s North America and ECIS regions, before assuming responsibility as the president of the Asia Pacific region.

According to the company, both Geddes and Palmer will be based in Aberdeen, United Kingdom.

Regarding the appointments, Expro CEO Mike Jardon said: “I look forward to working with both Alistair and Keith in their new roles within Expro, as we continue to enhance our support for our customers and operations.

“The changes strengthen the executive management team as we continue to invest in innovative solutions, develop new technologies, and meet the increasing global demand for our services.”
