Solstad Farstad said on Friday that the contract was awarded to the AHTS Far Statesman.

The contract will see the Far Statesman support a deepwater drilling campaign offshore Indonesia for end-user Eni.

According to the company, the contract will begin in July 2018 and last for five months.

The last time Offshore Energy Today reported on the Far Statesman vessel was in December 2017 when the vessel won a contract from Cooper Energy.

Namely, Cooper Energy supplemented a contract award for the Far Saracen and Far Senator, which were set to work on the Bass Strait drilling campaign, by awarding a deal to the Far Statesman.

The firm period contract was awarded for 100 days and began during the first quarter of 2018.

The Far Statesman was built in 2013 by the Vard Langsten yard. The vessel is 87.4 meters long, 21 meters wide, and can accommodate 40 people. It is powered by a total of six engines with a combined 24,371 BHP.
