Norwegian engineering company Aker Solutions has emerged as the lowest bidder in a bid opening ceremony for a subsea project.
The company said on Thursday that the tender comprised the delivery of a significant number of manifolds for a deepwater field.
Subject to completion of internal processing by an unnamed client, Aker Solutions expects to enter into exclusive negotiations for a potential contract award.
The company has not revealed any further details about the project.
Aker Solutions’ deepwater manifolds range from simple gathering units to sophisticated control, distribution and production stations. They are available with horizontal and vertical connections, for deepwater projects, and with leveling systems and they are normally fabricated in Norway, Brazil, and Malaysia.
