Aqualis appoints new head for Middle East region

Marine and offshore engineering consultancy Aqualis Offshore has appointed Ben Lazenby as director of the company’s Middle East operation, which now counts five offices in four different countries.

Aqualis said on Tuesday that Lazenby succeeds Reuben Segal, who will now concentrate fully on his role as the chief operating officer of Aqualis Offshore.

He is being promoted from his current position as regional marine director for Aqualis Offshore in Dubai

Lazenby has 25 years of experience in the offshore maritime industry. His specialist areas of competence are marine operations, rig moving, and marine warranty. He has conducted more than 300 rig moves as tow master or marine warranty surveyor.

Aqualis added that Lazenby will be based out of Aqualis Offshore’s regional headquarters in Dubai, UAE. Also, he will oversee the operations of the company’s other offices in the region: Abu Dhabi, UAE; Manama, Bahrain; Doha, Qatar; and Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
