Australia: LogiCamms Gets Gorgon Job from Chevron

Australia: Chevron Awards LogiCamms with Gorgon Job

LogiCamms has been awarded a contract with Chevron Australia to provide maintenance engineering services on the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project.

The four year contract has an estimated value of approximately $8m and commences immediately.

Steve Banning, LogiCamms’ Managing Director, said the contract award recognised LogiCamms’ expertise in asset management and supported its strategy of strengthening this area of the business, particularly in the energy and resources sectors.

“The award of the Gorgon Project Maintenance Engineering Services contract by Chevron, a tier one global player in the energy industry, is a result of our commitment to developing an asset management service that responds to market demands,” Mr Banning said.

“Our asset management team is a dedicated national group, which can support customers on greenfield or brownfield projects to ensure successful start-up and optimal operations and maintenance. These services are complemented by engineering and project delivery professionals, providing added value and confidence for owners and operators.”

In delivering this contract, LogiCamms will integrate key personnel with the Chevron team to provide strategic solutions including building asset registers, developing maintenance tactics, conducting reliability centered maintenance reviews and maintenance and spares analysis.

“The Company looks forward to safely delivering this contract for Chevron and the Gorgon Project,” Mr Banning said.

The Gorgon Project is one of the world’s largest natural gas projects and the largest single-resource project in Australia’s history. It is operated by Chevron and is a joint venture of the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (approximately 47%), ExxonMobil (25%), Shell (25%), Osaka Gas (1.25%), Tokyo Gas (1%) and Chubu Electric Power (0.417%).
