Cape clinches two-year deal with BP (UK)

Cape plc, a UK-based energy services company, has announced the award of a new two-year contract with BP.

According to Cape, the contract has an estimated value of £100 million ($153.4 million) and it will secure around 500 jobs for Cape employees as it provides a range of services, including access, insulation, coating, passive fire protection and platform services on six North Sea assets and the Forties Pipeline Systems.

Joe Oatley, Chief Executive, Cape plc: “We are delighted to be awarded this further contract by BP, which will allow us to continue to invest in our people through our apprentice, intern and graduate programmes.

“Cape has a longstanding relationship with BP and we look forward to continuing to work with this important client to deliver our critical industrial services across their assets in the North Sea.”
