Offshore drilling contractor Shelf Drilling has secured a six-month contract extension for the Shelf Drilling Resourceful jack-up rig.

Shelf Drilling said on Monday that the six-month extension was in direct continuation of its current contract for drilling operations offshore Nigeria.

According to information provided by VesselsValue, the Shelf Drilling Resourceful rig has been working for Chevron offshore Nigeria since early 2018.

The rig’s dayrate, as per information on Bassoe Analytics, from April to October 2019 is estimated to be around $75,000.

The 350 foot jack-up drilling unit is of a LeTourneau Super 116-C design. It was built by Keppel in 2008.
