CIMC Raffles delivers jack-up rig to COSL

China’s rig builder CIMC Raffles has delivered the Gulf Driller #1 jack-up drilling rig.

The rig, of the Friede & Goldman Super M2 design, will now sail away to the Bohai bay, offshore China, where it will begin drilling operations. It will be operated by COSL.

The Gulf Driller #1 can operate in maximum water depth of 91 meters. It can accommodate 110 people and is classed by ABS.

This is the third Jack-up rig delivered to COSL by CIMC Raffles since the beginning of the year.
