Claxton Engineering Services Ltd, a UK-based oil and gas engineering and service company, has formed a collaborative alliance with energy services firm LR Senergy.

The alliance has been formed to incorporate end-to-end offshore rig-based decommissioning services in its portfolio.

Nick Wood, VP commercial, Claxton, said, “Combining Claxton’s decommissioning expertise with LR Senergy’s wealth of well engineering and project management capabilities will provide customers with access to a unique combination of experience and skill sets for all decommissioning scenarios.”

The two companies worked together in the past on a number of shared global projects including platform installations, drilling operations and field workover programmes.

By cooperating with LR Senergy, Claxton adds rig-based decommissioning solutions to its decommissioning service portfolio, which comprises platform, subsea, rigless and vessel based campaigns.

Chris Chilcott, subsea engineering manager – wells, LR Senergy, said, “By establishing this alliance, we can formalise this service offering to provide our customers with a range of fully managed, integrated decommissioning solutions.”
