Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited (COPL), an international oil and gas exploration and development company focused on sub-Saharan offshore Africa, has reported that its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Christopher McLean, has stepped down, and has resigned from the Board of Directors effective July 21, 2015.
COPL notes that McLean’s resignation as CFO of the company is effective 30 days from July 21, 2015.
According to the company, McLean expressed his wish to step down due to health reasons. To remind, in April 2015, McLean took a leave of absence after being involved in a road traffic accident.
COPL named McLean as CFO in 2013, after securing 20% working interest in Block LB-13 in Liberia.
McLean is the founder of Stonechair Capital Corporation and has been an active participant of venture capital projects for the last ten years. Prior to starting Stonechair Capital Corp, he was the Head of Capital Markets and Senior Investment Banker at a resource focused boutique bank and the Vice President of International Opportunities at a national firm.
