Cotemar Extends Safe Lancia Contract Until December 2016

Mexico’s Cotemar group has awarded Safe Lancia a three-year bareboat contract ending in December 2016.

Prosafe, the owner of the rig, said that the contract value was around USD 68 million.

The Safe Lancia was built in 1982 at the GVA/Kockums yard in Sweden to a GVA 2000 design. It has a ten (10) point wire-mooring system capable of station keeping in the harshest of environments. In 2003, she was upgraded to a DP2 station keeping system.  The unit offers a maximum of 550 beds and 46 workstations.
