CSV Normand Oceanic dives in Mexican waters

Solstad Offshore has, on behalf of the partly owned company Normand Oceanic AS, entered into an agreement with the Mexican company Typhoon Offshore, an affiliate of Grupo Salinas.

Normand Oceanic AS is a joint venture company owned by Solstad Offshore and Subsea 7. The company owns the construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Oceanic through a deal made between Solstad and Subsea 7 in 2012.

Solstad said on Friday that Typhoon Offshore will charter the CSV Normand Oceanic for a period of three years. The charter is scheduled to start in May 2017.

The 2011-built vessel will be utilized on Typhoon’s projects in Mexican waters. Solstad said that the commercial terms are confidential among the parties.
