Dana Petroleum picks ‘Ocean Sprite’ for ERRV work

UK-based oil and gas exploration and production company Dana Petroleum has picked Atlantic Offshore’s offshore supply ship ‘Ocean Sprite’ for operations on two of its wells on the UKCS.

According to Atlantic Offshore, the ERRV contract, which is for 2 wells estimated at 70 days each, is scheduled to start on March 1, 2016. There is also a further 2 x 1 well options period, with an expected duration of 30 days each.

According to Diamond Offshore’s fleet report, the 1985-built midwater rig is working for Dana Petroleum under a dayrate of $220,000, until March 2017.
