DOF Subsea finds work for several vessels

Norwegian subsea services provider DOF Subsea has been awarded new contracts, securing utilization for several vessels in the subsea IMR projects segment.

In the North America region, DOF Subsea has been awarded a contract for the provision of survey, ROV and vessel services in the Gulf of Mexico, securing 135 days of vessel utilization in two phases, the Norwegian company said on Wednesday.

The project will utilize the vessels Harvey Deep Sea and Skandi Achiever with phase one starting in 4Q 2017 and phase two starting in 1Q 2018.

To remind, DOF awarded a contract extension to the 2013-built Jones Act Compliant vessel Harvey Deep Sea back in June, extending the deal until the end of 2018, plus two one-year options.

The Harvey Deep Sea Vessel is a multi-purpose DPII construction, supply, ROV vessel with accommodation for 71 and 165 ton AHC crane capable of reaching 3 000-meter water depth complete with integrated DOF Subsea’ work-class ROVs and survey spread.

Skandi Achiever is a 2007-built diving support vessel, which provides saturation dive support for offshore construction and Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) operations.

Furthermore, DOF Subsea said on Wednesday that, in the Atlantic region, it has been awarded a contract within wind industry, securing utilization of Skandi Neptune for 45 days plus options in the fourth quarter of the year.

Mons S. Aase, CEO, stated: “I am pleased with the contract awards and our global organization’s ability to secure utilization for the Group’s vessels in a challenging market.”
