Dong Energy selects DeepOcean for IRM and ROV inspection services

DeepOcean AS, subsidiary of DeepOcean Group Holding BV, has announced that company has been awarded the contract for Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) and ROV Inspection services on Dong Energy’s subsea assets in Danish and Norwegian waters.

The Contract is for two years firm plus options and confirms DeepOcean’s strong position as a provider of advanced structural and pipeline inspection services as well as offering high class maintenance and repair services to North Sea operators.

“Winning this IRM and ROV inspection contract in fierce competition with other established subsea contractors show our competitiveness in finding suitable spreads for our clients’ requirements. Danish sector has been a target for us in the North Sea, and with this contract we are strengthening our presence in the region,” says Commercial Director Rolf Ivar Sordal.

“DeepOcean has a very strong track record in the inspection of subsea pipeline systems and subsea assets and is among the largest subsea maintenance and repair contractors in the Greater North Sea,” Sordal continues.

DeepOcean plans to use its new survey and multi-purpose vessel Deep Helder for the 2014 campaign.
