Perisai Petroleum Teknologi’s subsidiary Intan Offshore Group has today received notice from Emas Offshore exercising its option to extend charters for three vessels.

According to Perisai Petroleum’s Bursa Malaysia filing, the contracts for three crew vessels, Sarah Gold, Sarah Jade and Bayu Pearl have now been extended for two years.

The original contract chartered the three vessels for three years starting September 2012 and expiring on August 31, 2015 with an option to extend for two years.

The new expiration date is now set for August 31, 2017. The company says that the daily charter hire for the extension charters is $5.000 and over the course of two years, the charter rates will amount to $3.65 million.

The Intan Group is a 51% subsidiary of Perisai. The remaining issued share capital is owned by Emas Offshore and its wholly owned subsidiary, Genesis Offshore Sdn Bhd.
