‘Energy Searcher’ resumes operations in Nigeria

Northern Offshore, Ltd. has announced that the drillship Energy Searcher under contract in Nigeria, resumed normal operations on September 23, following repairs to the control hoses to the unit’s blowout preventer.

The company said that the repairs were completed somewhat earlier than previously anticipated. Northern Offshore now expects its consolidated financial results for the third quarter 2014 to be negatively impacted by a reduction of approximately thirty nine days of zero revenues rather than the forty five days previously estimated.

As previously announced, drilling operation at the Camac Energy-operated Oyo-8 well had been halted after leaks were found in some control system hoses of the well’s blow out preventer.

In relation to this, Camac Energy has also made an announcement informing that, “work is nearing completion on the offshore installation campaign, which will allow for the wells in the Oyo field to be connected to our floating, production, storage and offloading vessel, Armada Perdana.
