EntradaB2B O&G Website to Join British and Brazilian Firms

Aberdeen and Rio de Janeiro-based Calibre International and Lonsal Representações, operating under the Entrada banner, have launched a new website to help British and Brazilian firms partner on projects in Brazil’s booming oil and gas sector.

EntradaB2B.com features a free database of Brazilian and UK companies willing to offer their resources, exchange skills, expertise and technology to make the most of opportunities in the Brazil’s burgeoning energy market. The venture has been set up with the support of leading Scottish firms Campbell Dallas and Brodies LLP and Brazilian importation agent/freight forwarder Nicomex.

The new website aims to provide clients with a ‘one stop shop’ of information and services. It also features an advice centre, which includes briefings on legal issues from Scottish law firm Brodies and financial and taxation information from the independent chartered accountant Campbell Dallas and its Brazilian partner UHY Moreira.

Jim Cargill, a Director of Calibre International /Entrada said: “The website builds on work we have been undertaking for UKCS companies in the Brazilian market for some years now. With Entrada having offices in both Aberdeen and Rio de Janeiro and complementing the excellent work of UKTI/SDI, we are uniquely placed to assist companies enter the Brazilian market.”

Services offered by EntradaB2B.com range from initial desk research through detailed in-country studies to local sales and marketing representation.

Chris Legrand, Entrada’s Director in Rio de Janeiro said: “As part of our ‘one stop shop’ approach we are able to offer clients access to logistics/working facilities in the Rio de Janeiro/Macae area and in existing shipyard/fabrication areas with support services and personnel also available.”

Already half of the work of the North Sea service sector is in international markets and this initiative by local companies will facilitate an expansion into the buoyant Brazilian oil and gas sector.”

Greg May, a partner in the oil and gas team of Brodies LLP, said: “We are delighted to support this exciting venture, which will allow us to help oil & gas contractors participate in the emerging opportunities in Brazil.

“As strategic international legal partners of the Scottish Council for Development & Industry we have considerable experience of working with Scottish organisations looking to expand their international business interests and overseas firms looking to invest in Scotland. We look forward to helping foster a spirit of co-operation between the two countries and to building mutually beneficial, long term relationships with a wide variety of business and organisations in this dynamic sector.”

Ian Williams, Chairman at Campbell Dallas LLP added: “Campbell Dallas LLP, the Scottish arm of UHY International network, has been working for some time with its counterpart Brazilian firm, UHY Moreira, to build strong links with one another, aimed at providing Scottish companies looking to set-up in Brazil, on their own or as a joint-venture partner, with sound financial and tax expertise in Scotland and Brazil, that would deliver a clear advantage. We see the Entrada Brazilian Initiative as part of a very joined-up service delivery vehicle, of which we pleased to be part and welcome wholeheartedly”.
