Farstad Scores $186 Mln in Charter Deals with Petrobras

Norway’s Farstad Shipping ASA has been awarded two charter contracts in Brazil

Petrobras has awarded the IMR vessel Far Saga (2001, UT 745 L) a 6 year contract with 6 years options. The contract includes ROV support and other subsea related activities in Brazilian waters. Far Saga will leave the North Sea during December 2013. Before leaving, the vessel will be upgraded with a new and larger crane.

Petrobras has also extended the contract for the AHTS Far Sea (1991, ME 303 II, 13,200 BHP) with a further 4 year, starting November 2013.

Total value of the contracts, excluding options, is approximately NOK 1.1 billion ( around USD 186 million)
