Farstad sheds another anchor handler

Offshore service vessel provider Farstad Shipping has sold yet another one of its anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessels.

The AHTS vessel Lady Sandra, of a KMAR 404 design, was built in 1998. The 73.2m long vessel can accommodate 24 persons.

The sale of the vessel has been conducted on behalf of the wholly owned subsidiary Farstad Shipping Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. However, the company has not revealed the name of the client nor the value of the deal.

The vessel was delivered to its new owner on Monday, September 26, 2016.

Farstad noted that following an impairment charge of NOK 11 million in 2Q 2016, the sale of the vessel will result in an immaterial accounting effect for 3Q 2016.

The company previously sold the AHTS Lady Guro and AHTS Far Sea and PSVs Far Scandia, Lady Grace and Lady Grete.
