Gupco takes delivery of VOS Aphrodite AHTS

Vroon, a Dutch company providing offshore support vessels to the international oil and gas industry, today said its VOS Aphrodite vessel has been delivered to Gupco.

The VOS Aphrodite anchor handling tug supply vessel will join the VOS Appolo vessel in the Gulf of Suez. The client Gupco or Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company, is a joint venture between BP and Egypt’s national oil company EGPC.

The vessel will operate from Ras Shukeir port in Egypt. Both vessels are equipped with walk-to-work systems on port and starboard sides.

The 60 meters long VOS Aphrodite was built at the Fujian Shipyard in China, and delivered to Vroon in March 2011.
