IMES scoops two new contracts

Inspection Monitoring Engineering Solutions (IMES), a marine and subsea specialist, has secured two new contracts worth £750,000 ($1.14 million).

According to its press release, the company has been awarded a three-year contract for the provision of lifting inspection services on behalf of Fugro, covering four vessels.

In addition, IMES has been awarded a three-year contract by subsea inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) company Harkand. It will provide lifting inspection, wire rope inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) services for a total of three vessels in Aberdeen and other UK ports.

Jason Smith, chief operating officer at IMES, said: “Despite the present challenging economic conditions, we are remaining upbeat about the year ahead.

“We are delighted to have received these important contract awards in recognition of the capabilities of our team as well as the company’s reputation for providing an unrivalled level of service.”

Ewan Giles, business development manager at IMES, said: “We firmly believe that the company’s commitment to providing excellent customer service has been a major factor in our ability to attract and retain leading oil and gas businesses.”
