INTECSEA gets new president

WorleyParsons today announced the appointment of Neil Mackintosh as INTECSEA president, following the retirement of Uri Nooteboom. Mackintosh will join INTECSEA on July 8, 2014 and be based in Houston, Texas.

Departing president Uri Nooteboom will assist Mackintosh with his transition until the end of August and be available as an advisor to the new president.

Nooteboom joined INTECSEA in 1990. Over the years he has taken on leadership roles of increasing responsibility and in 2010 was named president of INTECSEA.

Incoming president Neil Mackintosh joins INTECSEA from Genesis Subsea (Technip) where he most recently served as Senior Vice President. Prior to Technip, he held multiple commercial, technical and operational leadership roles with McDermott, Flow Control and Cameron.

Mackintosh has over three decades of experience in the subsea and offshore sectors. He has a reputation as a proven leader with an outstanding track record in the global oil and gas community. His experience covers engineering, construction and project management of marine pipelines, subsea and riser developments as well as fixed and floating offshore facilities.

Nooteboom said: “I am particularly pleased to be leaving the company in the hands of an executive as capable and talented as Neil. He is the right leader to deliver technology and innovation on projects across the globe and position the company for continued growth and success in the years ahead.”
During Mr Nooteboom’s tenure as president, he played an integral role in the success of the INTECSEA business. He led the organization to more than double in size, and tripled its revenue and profits.

WorleyParsons CEO Andrew Wood said: “Uri’s focus, drive, innovation and wisdom have been instrumental in delivering excellent outcomes for our customers and building a capable and successful team at INTECSEA. We wish him all the best in his retirement and look forward to welcoming Neil to the WorleyParsons group.”

Mackintosh has more than 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong commercial and technical background. Most recently he has served as Senior Vice President of Genesis Subsea (Technip) for the last three years. In this position, he had full profit and loss accountability and global responsibility for over 800 engineering personnel. This included the strategic planning and establishment of the new Genesis Subsea business in Malaysia and Australia, and the acquisition of an engineering company in Brazil.

Prior to his time with Technip, he held multiple commercial, technical and operational leadership roles with McDermott, Flow Control and Cameron.

Mackintosh is a proven leader with an excellent track record. His experience covers engineering, construction and project management of marine pipelines, subsea and riser developments as well as fixed and floating offshore facilities. He also has a strong commercial background, with a focus on delivering financial results.

Mackintosh is a graduate of Newcastle University in the UK. While he has been based in Houston for many years, he has extensive international experience working in locations including London, Aberdeen, Perth, Stavanger and Oslo throughout his career.
