IOTC meets OEEC

Another important company will be present during Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference (OEEC): Iranian Oil Terminals (IOTC), who are responsible for exporting more than 90 percent of Iran’s Crude Oil. IOTC CEO Mr. Mousavi plus two of his deputies will pay a visit to the exhibition and conference. IOTC is part of the NIOC company. But the significance of their trade mission is that they are very much interested in the Dutch offshore industry.

IOTC was established in 2000 and is one of the most active and prominent companies affiliated with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). IOTC is staffed by highly experienced personnel and equipped with the most up to date installations. IOTC is responsible for receiving, storing and exporting more than 90% of the country’s Crude Oil.

Crude oil export is the main responsibility and consists of the following points:

* Receiving crude with the following categories depends on the area of operation:

* Light and heavy crude oil from South Oilfield together with Forouzan crude from offshore fields close to Kharg Island.

* Light and heavy crude from neighboring CIS countries in Behshahr port (Neka) in the Caspian Sea.

* Condensate in South Pars Oilfield (Assaluyeh)

The most active area is Kharg Island, established 50 years ago as Iran’s Oil Export Terminal. IOTC consists of Operation, Commercial, Finance, Civil Engineering, Research and development, Personnel/Administration, Social Services, Public Relations, Technical Inspection and Corrosion Control, Fire, Safety and Environment, Telecommunications and Systems Analysis, Contracts and Legal Affairs, Internal Audit, Materials and Security departments. Currently, oil export from South Pars Oilfield and Swap oil in the Caspian Sea are covered by IOTC.
