Kidnapped Italian Sailors Set Free (Nigeria)

Three Italian sailors that were kidnapped offshore Nigeria on December 23, 2012, have been released, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced. The three Italians are now expected to be flown to Italy.

To remind, the pirates boarded the Asso Ventuno AHTS vessel which was on its way to Port Harcourt, taking four workers as hostages.

The Ministry did not provide information about the destiny of the fourth sailor, who is, according to BBC, believed to be Ukranian.
