Lundin: Senior VP Development steps down after 12 years in company

Lundin Petroleum’s Senior Vice President Development Chris Bruijnzeels will step down at the end of January 2015 following 12 years with the company.

Bruijnzeels has worked in various technical, commercial and managerial positions within the Company since 2003 and has been Senior Vice President for the last six years.

Bruijnzeels will become the President and Chief Executive Officer of ShaMaran Petroleum Corp, a Kurdistan focused oil development and exploration company, in which Lundin Petroleum has a shareholding.

Lundin Petroleum, a Swedish independent oil and gas exploration and production company, has started a process to identify suitable candidates for the Senior Vice President Development position.

Chris Bruijnzeels
Born in the Netherlands in 1959, Chris Bruijnzeels is a graduate of Delft University where he obtained a degree in Mining Engineering.

From 1985 until 1998, he worked for Shell International in the Netherlands, Gabon and Oman in several reservoir engineering functions. In 1998 he moved to PGS Reservoir Consultants in the UK where he worked as Principle Reservoir Engineer and Director Evaluations.

Chris Bruijnzeels joined Lundin Petroleum in 2003 as Senior Reservoir Engineer and in 2004 was appointed Vice President Reservoir and Production. In 2009, he was appointed Senior VP Operations and in 2014 was appointed Senior VP Development.
