LV Shipping & Transport, an international logistics provider, has signed a contract with Norway’s oil and gas major Statoil.
The contract is for four-years, with options for an additional two years.
Under the contract, LV Shipping’s Aberdeen office will be in charge of providing freight forwarding, transport, logistics and customs clearance services involving Statoil’s UK and UKCS operations.
Statoil opened its Aberdeen office in 2013, after the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the Mariner field development located in the UK North Sea.
LV’s contract also covers offshore helifreight logistics services to and from Statoil’s UK helicopter contractor freight shed, the shipping company noted.
