Magseis in Barents Sea multi-client program

Norwegian geophysical company Magseis has started a multi-client program in the Barents Sea.

This survey builds on previous work conducted in the Barents Sea for Statoil and Lundin Petroleum.

According to Magseis, in the previous work in the Barents Sea, its Marine Autonomous Seismic System (MASS) has delivered a significant uplift in imaging relative to regular streamer seismic.

The seismic company further said that the program has already secured significant pre-funding.

Magseis expects the work to last 2 – 3 months, depending on weather.
