Lukoil Overseas, operator of international upstream projects of LUKOIL Group, has confirmed that on Thursday, May 8th, 2014, a helicopter crashed in the coast waters of the Republic of Ghana 3.4 nautical miles (5.4 km) from Takoradi.

Transocean Ltd. has, since April 17, received new drilling contracts valued $953 million in total.   In its fleet status report, the drilling contractor said that its Dhirubhai Deepwater KG1 drillship was awarded a three year contract offshore Brazil at a dayrate of $440,000 ($482 million estimated backlog)

Singapore’s PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd. (POSH) has secured a charter contract worth approximately US$80.5 million for its semi-submersible accommodation vessel (SSAV), the “POSH XANADU”, for use by Petrobras, the Brazilian national oil company, to support its oil and gas production activities in the Campos Basin.

QP to spend $11B on Bul Hanine field redevelopment (Qatar)

Qatar Petroleum (QP) has announced plans to invest over 40 billion Qatari Riyals ( $11 billion) in the re-development of the existing Bul Hanine offshore oil field located about 120 kilometers to the east of the Qatari coastline.
