Neon Energy in trading halt after corporate offer received

Neon Energy, an Australian Securities Exchange-listed oil company asked for a trading halt of its shares (NEN), after receiving a corporate offer.

“The Company has received a corporate offer that it is now considering and a trading halt is requested until an announcement is made to the market which we are expecting to announce on Monday 8 September 2014,” Neon said in a statement.

The shares of Neon Energy Limited will remain in Trading Halt Session State until Tuesday, 9 September 2014, or when the announcement is released to the market.

Neon Energy Limited is a Perth-based oil and gas company focused on exploration and production in Southeast Asia and California.  The company has a market cap of $18.34 million
