New CEO takes over the reins at Viking Supply Ships

Trond Myklebust has assumed his position as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Swedish offshore support ships operator Viking Supply Ships AB (VSS).

To remind, Viking appointed Myklebust as the CEO of both Viking Supply Ships AB and the Norwegian subsidiary of the Swedish company, Viking Supply Ships A/S, back in December.

Myklebust came to VSS from Fjord Shipping AS where he was also the CEO. He was the Managing Director of Bourbon Norway and ship broker and General Manager within Seabrokers.

From September, the company’s chairman of the board Bengt A. Rem was appointed as interim CEO of Viking Supply Ships AB replacing Christian Berg who stepped down from the position. Folke Patriksson was appointed the chairman during Rem’s time as the interim CEO.

Since Myklebust has taken over as CEO, Rem was reinstated as the chairman of the board of Viking Supply Ships AB while Folke Patriksson returned to his previous position as deputy chairman.
