New managing director named at DEA Norge

Oil and gas company Dea Norge has appointed Jon Sandnes as its new managing director, effective March 1, 2018. 

Sandnes comes from the position as Head of Area Management in the company, Dea Norge said on Friday.

Sandnes is following Hans-Hermann Andreae, who has taken on new responsibilities at DEA’s headquarters in Hamburg.

“DEA has exiting plans for its activities in Norway. The company has motivated and experienced employees, exiting projects and owners with an intention to merge DEA with Wintershall. All this makes DEA a very interesting company to be a part of,” says Sandnes.

Jon Sandnes has had various management positions in DEA since 2002, and has in addition experience from Hydro and Saga Petroleum. He has a master degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Economics and Technology Management from NTNU, in addition to a studies in finance and international management from BI Norwegian Business School.
