Newbuild PSV delivered to Dutch shipping company

VOS Primrose

Vroon, an international shipping company based in the Netherlands, has taken delivery of its new platform supply vessel (PSV) VOS Primrose.

The delivery ceremony was held on Monday, January 4, 2016, at Fujian Southast Shipyard in China. The vessel left the shipyard on Thursday on its way to Hong Kong.

VOS Primrose is a KCM-80m PSV and the third in a series of eight sister vessels ordered by Vroon Offshore Services.

According to the shipowner, all vessels have an SPS code and are equipped with full (under-deck) supply capabilities, that include stainless-steel tanks for the carriage of methanol. They provide accommodation and work space for a total of 52 persons.

The vessel concept is based on a design by Khiam Chuan Marine (KCM).

VOS Primrose will be managed by Vroon Offshore Services Singapore.
