Noble Corporation gets new head of marketing and contracts

Offshore driller Noble Corporation has named Robert W. Eifler as the vice president and general manager of marketing and contracts, effective July 17, 2017.

Noble said on Monday that Eifler would be responsible for the company’s worldwide marketing and contracts efforts.

The new VP will be based in the company’s operations headquarters in Sugar Land, Texas.

The appointment comes as a result of Simon W. Johnson, the previous manager of Noble’s marketing and contracts efforts, departing the company to pursue other interests.

Eifler joined Noble in February 2005 as part of the company’s management development program and has held numerous operational and marketing roles around the world since that time. Most recently, he has led the company’s marketing and contracts efforts for the eastern hemisphere while based in London.

“We are delighted to have Robert take on this new challenge. Throughout his career he has demonstrated great leadership and has developed a deep understanding of our industry while building a strong foundation in business fundamentals,” said David W. Williams, chairman, president and CEO of Noble Corporation.

He added: “Robert’s background and work ethic will fit well with our senior management team and we look forward to supporting him in this new role.”
