Noble Corporation has secured more work for three of its jack-up drilling rigs.
In its fleet status report issued Wednesday, July 10, the UK-based offshore drilling contractor revealed that it had secured a contract extension for its Noble Jimmy Puckett rig in Qatar. The rig will stay with RasGas until early December 2014 on a dayrate of $140.000.
Also, France’s Total has extended the contract for the Noble Houston Colbert jack-up, currently deployed in Argentina. The extension becomes effective in early February 2015 and will last until early February 2016 at a dayrate of $280,000.
Furthermore, the Noble Percy Johns jack-up has been hired by SOCO international for drilling operations offshore Congo. The contract, at a dayrate of $125.000 begins in mid-July 2014, and is expected to end in mid-September this year.
Noble also added that it had taken delivery of the newly-built Noble Tom Prosser jack-up from Jurong Shipyard in Singapore. The company said that the Noble Tom Prosser rig will remain in Singapore into the early fourth quarter of 2014 while completing crew familiarization and rig commissioning, prior to going on contract with Apache in Australia.The Noble Tom Prosser will stay with Apache until the third quarter of 2016 at a day rate of $203.500. The contract is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2015.
