Norway: EMGS Ready to Begin Barents Sea EM Survey

Norway’s EMGS has secured pre-funding to start a multi-client 3D EM campaign in the Barents Sea, ahead of Norway’s 22nd exploration licensing round. Data acquisition will commence in March using the vessel Atlantic Guardian.

Preliminary data deliverables will be available from April 2012 and 3D inverted data will be available from May 2012.

EMGS, the marine EM market leader, uses its proprietary electromagnetic (EM) technology to support oil and gas companies in their search for offshore hydrocarbons.
