Norway: NPD Announces Production Figures for October 2010

The average daily production in October 2010 was about 2 230 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate. This is 406 000 barrels more than in September 2010.

Gas production was about 9,3 billion Sm3, which is 3.6 billion Sm3 more than in September.

The liquid production in October was: 1 868 000 barrels of oil, 278 000 barrels of NGL and 84 000 barrels of condensate.

Production from some fields was reduced periodically in October due to various technical problems.

So far this year(through October) the average daily production has been about 1.8 million barrels of oil, which is marginally less than the NPD’s forecast. The forecast includes Yme which has not started production yet. The total production of liquids has been about 2.1 million barrels.

Total production for the first 10 months of this year is about 188.5 million Sm3 o.e., broken down as follows: about 86.9 million Sm3 o.e. of oil, about 16.2 million Sm3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 85.4 million Sm3 o.e. of gas. This is 9.4 million Sm3 o.e. less than in the same period in 2009.

Preliminary production figures from November 2010 show an average daily production of about 1.791 million barrels of oil, 0.331 million barrels of NGL and condensate and a total of 10.1 billion Sm3 net gas production.

Production from some fields was reduced periodically in November due to various technical problems.

Final figures for November will be available during January 2011.
