08.00 – 10.00 Breakfast Session: Decommissioning

In 2016 EBN presented their “Netherlands Masterplan for decommissioning and re-use”, developed in cooperation with NOGEPA and IRO. In 2017 we will take stock of national plans for North Sea decommissioning and reuse and what that means for operators, the supply chain and North Sea stakeholders. The session will also present lessons learned from recent decommissioning projects.

08.00 – 10.00 Breakfast Session: Global business opportunities

Despite lower oil and gas prices, the business case for E&P activities remains strong. Oil and gas are projected to account for more than 75% of total energy supply in 2035, albeit with shifts in energy demand and supply centers.

This session will look at where future demand will come from but will especially address hot spots for production growth and related opportunities for the supply chain. Hot spots include Iran, Myanmar, Mexico and Brazil.

12.00 – 14.00 Lunch Session: Asset Integrity

The EU Offshore Safety Directive has been incorporated in national legislations in EU member states. To ensure asset integrity, The Netherlands has established Industry Standard No. 90. The combined facts of ageing infrastructure on one hand and a focus on cost savings on the other make adequate and cost efficient asset integrity management a key concern.

This session, organized in cooperation with NOGEPA, will look at the implementation of new industry standards, including Standard 48 on Independent Verification Management and Standard 49 on Safety and Environmental Critical Elements (SECE) Verification.

12.00 – 14.00 Lunch Session: The Rise of Renewables

Fossil fuels will likely meet well over half of global energy demand. Non-fossil fuel production will grow significantly however and in some countries non-fossil fuels meets over 90% of electricity demand.

This session offers a quick-scan of how several renewable energy markets are developing and where major commercial developments can be expected.

08.00 – 10.00 Breakfast Session: Smart maintenance solutions for offshore installations

As information technology evolves and automation increases, more and more companies are coming up with innovative solutions for the upkeep of offshore structures and vessels. The increasing availability of data about the performance of structures and ships allows smarter maintenance which can save millions, while for example the usage of drones could make a surveyor’s life easier.

In this session, organized in cooperation with Netherlands Maritime Technology, early adopters in the maritime and offshore industry show the advantages of using information technology and automation.

08.00 – 10.00 Breakfast Session: Subsea Processing and Facilities

“If subsea processing is not part of your project’s concept phase, it should be” coined one of our 2016 speakers. This year, we continue our stocktaking of subsea processing deployment and of technological developments in cost-efficient subsea field development, focusing on processing and facilities.

12.00 – 14.00 Lunch Session: Transformation through your Human Capital

The industry is facing a new reality with stressed balance sheets, cuts in capex, bankruptcies and layoffs. On top of that, industry dynamics caused by digitalization and innovation are challenging existing business models.

This session, organized in cooperation with Deloitte, presents views on navigating industry dynamics, by optimizing and harmonizing your organization structure and making your organization more agile and flexible.
