Petrolia elects new executive chairman for E&P unit

Petrolia SE’s 49.9 percent owned exploration & production company in Norway, Petrolia NOCO, has appointed a new executive chairman.

Petrolia NOCO said on Monday that it appointed Robert Arnott for the role.

According to the company, Arnott has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has previously held board positions at several E&P companies, most recently as a chairman of Hurricane Energy.

He also has extensive experience in the Norwegian sector having served on the boards of Rocksource, Core Energy and Spring Energy. He was also a member of the advisory board of DNO ASA.

After working as a geologist and economist with Royal Dutch Shell, he became an oil and gas equity analyst in 1991, holding senior positions at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley for ten years. He is also a senior fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies.
