Polarcus in new 3D seismic deal

Polarcus Limited has received a commitment from an undisclosed client for a broadband 3D marine seismic acquisition project in Australasia.

According to Polarcus, the project, subject to the execution of a service contract, will start in Q1 2015 and is expected to run for approximately two months.

The company did not reveal the name of the client nor the value of the project. The name of the vessel to be used for the project and location of the seismic research are also undisclosed by the company.

Offshore Energy Today contacted Polarcus seeking more details about the seismic research project in question, however the company has yet to respond to our queries.

Update: January 8, 2015

In an e-mail sent to Offshore Energy Today, Polarcus’ spokesperson confirmed the project and revealed that it will be shot by Polarcus Naila. However, the spokesperson noted that due to contractual matters, the company is not able to reveal more information at this time.
