Reach Subsea to deploy three vessels to North Sea for new contracts

Norwegian subsea services provider Reach Subsea has been awarded contract for three vessels for operations in the North Sea.

Reach Subsea said on Tuesday it has entered into short-term contracts for the vessels Havila Subsea, Edda Fonn and Olympic Delta, covering in total 100 firm vessel spread days and approximately 50 optional days.

Reach added that the clients are major oil companies and international contractors without revealing their names. Operations will be in the North Sea, executed during the second quarter of 2018.

Reach CEO, Jostein Alendal, commented: “As expected, the market is still dominated by low visibility and short lead time from contract award until project execution. It is a pleasure to note that we expand our position as a competitive and flexible quality service provider to current and new clients.”

Havila Subsea is a DP2 IMR and light construction subsea vessel chartered by Reach Subsea from March 2017. The vessel was delivered from yard in 2011. It is equipped with a 150 T AHC main crane, a clear deck area of approx. 600 m2, enclosed hangar with 2 x ROV handling systems and a 7.2×7.2m moonpool.

Edda Fonn is an IMR, survey and light construction services vessel with an overall length of 84.7 meters, 18 meters abeam, 700 square meters aft deck and a 7.2×7.2 meters moonpool.

Olympic Delta is a DP2 multi-purpose support vessel with a large open deck suitable for launch and recovery operation.
