Petrofac has been awarded a major contract extension in support of Repsol Sinopec Resources UK’s North Sea operations.
Petrofac said on Wednesday that, under this contract, the company would provide engineering support services as a tier 1 contractor for brownfield modifications and projects across Repsol Sinopec Resources UK’s operated assets and terminal at Flotta.
Nick Shorten, Managing Director for Petrofac Engineering and Production Services West, said: “We are delighted that Repsol Sinopec Resources UK has exercised its option to extend our contract.
“This renewal is testament to our team’s performance and the value it has added to our client’s ongoing transformation.”
In related news, Petrofac has recently been awarded a well plugging and abandonment contract in the UK North Sea with Hess. The agreement includes provision of Well Operator and Well Engineering Project Management services for four wells within the Rubie and Renee fields, 200 km north east of Aberdeen.
Earlier this month, Petrofac won a three-year contract from Ineos FPS for operations & maintenance support services.
A couple of days before that, Petrofac, in a joint venture with SOCAR, won an engineering and technical services contract to support Total and SOCAR’s exploration & production projects offshore Azerbaijan.
