RockRose expands North Sea portfolio

UK North Sea-focused oil company RockRose has expanded its foothold in the region by completing two acquisitions on Friday.

The company confirmed completion of the purchase of Egerton Energy Ventures Limited, including non-operated interests in the Galahad (27.80%) and Mordred (8.33%) gas fields located in the Southern North Sea.

Also, following receipt of a letter of comfort from the OGA, RockRose Energy plc is pleased to confirm completion of the purchase of Sojitz Energy Project Limited

Earlier in December RockRose Energy bought Idemitsu Petroleum UK and its assets in the UK North Sea.

As part of the deal RockRose took over Idemitsu’s stakes in North Sea fields Ross, Blake, Tain, Nelson, Howe, Balmoral, Stirling, Beauly, Burghley, and Galley fields operated by Shell, Premier, and Repsol.

Post completion of the acquisitions of Egerton, Sojitz Energy Project Limited and Idemitsu Petroleum UK Ltd, RockRose will have a projected 5,250 boepd of production in 2018 on an aggregated basis.
