Solstad Farstad director hands in resignation

Norwegian offshore shipping company Solstad Farstad has announced a change in its board of directors following a resignation of one of its members. 

Solstad Farstad said on Tuesday that Sverre Andreas Farstad decided to resign as a board member with immediate effect.

The company added that the nomination committee of Solstad Farstad would consider whether a new board member will be proposed as a replacement for Farstad before the next ordinary general meeting.

Sverre Farstad serves as the chairman of Farstad Shipping ASA and has been its director since 1988. He also serves as the chairman of Tyrholm & Farstad AS.

Farstad holds various board appointments and other positions in banking, insurance, and the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association. He holds a business degree from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
